He studied Music at the University of Southampton and since graduating has performed at over 500 events in some outstanding venues from the Savoy Hotel to Ronnie Scott's and also in the Middle East on Dubai's famous 'Palm Island.'

His repertoire is vast as you will see, he can perform in a variety of styles to suit all occasions. From light classical numbers by the likes of Debussy and Chopin to well-loved jazz standards up to the latest chart hits rearranged for solo piano.

Matthew R is available in the afternoon for a weddings, including playing you down the aisle, during the signing of the register and also for the recessional. He can then perform during drinks reception, and also during the wedding breakfast!

Matthew R works with many talented musicians and is able to add a vocalist or further musicians, such as double bass or saxophone, if you're looking for something extra during the afternoon.

“We've just got back from our honeymoon and wanted to say thank you so much for the wonderful music played by you during our wedding reception at Hedsor House. The music really set the tone for a very enjoyable reception. It was a great mix of older and more recent jazz and all our guests gave us lots of compliments about the music!”

Ione & Dominic, Wedding at Hedsor House, June 2019

“Couldn't have asked anything more from Matthew. He was absolutely outstanding playing at our wedding. Me, being the bride, didn't get much of a chance to hear him, apart from during the ceremony. But my goodness, did he make us all cry! He made the whole experience just that little bit more special and I am so so happy I chose him. I would quite happily hire him to play for me while I'm sat at work just so I can listen to him all day. Everyone there has said how amazing he was. Can't thank you enough Matthew, absolutely amazing job and we now well up when we hear our entrance song played.”

Bethany, Wedding, October 2018

“Matthew was fantastic from start to finish. Everyone loved him and he was a joy to work with. Would recommend time and time again.”

Christine, Wedding, September 2018

“Very good pianist and helped to make the day very successful and rewarding.”

Bill, Wedding Anniversary Party, August 2018

“Matthew was perfect for our event! We have had nothing but positive feedback. Thanks again!”
