Our wedding took place at Crow Wood Hotel & Spa near Burnley. We instantly fell in love with the venue — it had only recently opened when we originally booked back in 2020, so everything felt fresh, modern, and stylish. The décor and overall vibe were exactly what we were looking for, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The hotel had a sophisticated feel but was also warm and comfortable, making it a perfect place to host our friends and family for such an important day.

We went for a spring-inspired theme, with soft pinks and whites throughout the décor. Fairy lights covered the walls of the room, creating an intimate, romantic glow that complemented the modern elegance of the venue. The combination of fresh floral arrangements, subtle colours, and twinkling lights made the day feel both elegant and relaxed — exactly the atmosphere we wanted to celebrate our marriage.

Live music was a key element of our wedding from the very start — we wanted it to be a central focus of the celebrations. During the wedding breakfast, we had a singing waiter to kick things off in a fun, unique way, setting the tone for the evening. After that, Agent Smith took over and completely brought the party to life.

We loved their set list — it was exactly our kind of music and their sound was phenomenal. Even guests who were just staying at the hotel commented on how amazing the band was! They had everyone dancing, singing along, and having an unforgettable night. The energy they brought to the day was absolutely perfect.

Our favourite moments were really about soaking up the love and happiness in the room. After having to delay our wedding by a whole year due to Covid, being surrounded by all of our favourite people and seeing how joyful everyone was felt incredible. There were so many small, special moments — from laughs during speeches to dancing with friends late into the night — that made the day feel magical.

Function Central made the whole booking process seamless. From our initial enquiry to signing the contract, everything was smooth and professional. When we needed to rearrange our date due to Covid, the team handled it all effortlessly, taking the stress out of an otherwise challenging situation. We felt completely supported from start to finish and knew we could trust them to find the perfect entertainment.

If you’re undecided about booking a band or live entertainment, just go for it — it was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Also, don’t try to please everyone; you can’t, and you’ll only add stress. Focus on planning the day that truly reflects you as a couple, and make decisions based on what will make you happiest. Above all, enjoy the day, soak in the atmosphere, and celebrate with your nearest and dearest — those are the moments that will stay with you forever.
