We chose The Mill at Conder Green, near Lancaster in Lancashire. It's a beautiful place – it has lots of outdoor space and is on the canal. The staff were amazing from the start.

I went for rustic with a touch of elegance. The venue room was a lovely blank canvas, so I could put my own stamp on it.

I've always wanted a band to play at my wedding and I took time to research a lot of different wedding bands in the North West.

Eventually I found Manhattan. I loved how the band merged songs and styles of music plus they are all just really talented. I just knew they were right for us!

They had everyone up dancing and having a great time – they are sooo talented and really lovely people too. Just amazing!!! The only negative was when the set was over!

Saying our vows in the beautiful Ashton Memorial was really special. I loved having time with my new husband and dancing the night away with all my loved ones.

I found Function Central online and then listened to Manhattan on YouTube - I was blown away. Just what I was looking for!

Not to get to stressed about the small things and enjoy every minute.
