• We thoroughly enjoyed the band and as I’m a bit of a Beatles buff, I enjoyed talking to them. In particular, I challenged them to a Beatles trivia quiz which I think I may have won! But then I had been reading ‘Revolution in the Head’ for the previous two months! I also told the bass player how disappointed and shocked I was that he wasn’t left-handed. Having said that, he was the strongest performer, just like McCartney, and he had the head-wobble off to a tee! I was especially pleased to see them responding to requests but again was disappointed that they could only do the first 10 bars of Revolution 9! Seriously though, it was great to see them storming through numbers that the Beatles themselves could never have played live. I thank them for their great tolerance of our children and their general good-humour throughout the evening. They were very convincing!

• Many thanks to all of you for being such a fab four - you really made the party go with a swing! We enjoyed ourselves enormously - I didn't want the party to finish.
