We chose Cissbury Barns in Findon. We chose it because of its beautiful location overlooking the sea in the distance and the incredible garden for the reception. We also thought the barn was really stunning.

We were going for a rustic feel in the barn with wild flowers. We wanted a traditional feel at the beginning by getting married in a church but then to come back to the barn for the reception party.

Favourite moments of the day were: getting married in the church, speaking to all our guests at the reception, the hilarious speeches, sunset photos, the hog roast and dancing until the end of the night!

We found Party Up amongst Function Central's Sussex bands and thought they sounded amazing. Also the quality of their reviews really made them stand out. On top of that, the band were based fairly locally.

A live band was really important part of our day. It was the first time after the pandemic that we could dance so we wanted everyone on the dancefloor!

Wow, wow and wow! They were absolutely incredible and played a huge part in making our day so perfect and so special!

Also... they learned a song especially for our first dance, and played all our favourite songs which we requested from their list. We booked seven of the band members, including two vocalists. Both were incredible singers and the rest of the band were outstanding.

Try to take moments throughout the day to just look around at all the wonderful things like the flowers, the decorations, the band. Also try and work your way round all the guests in the reception but don't feel guilty if you can't speak to everyone for as long as you want to.

Trust in your suppliers as they know what they are doing and they want the day to be perfect for you.
