Blue Skies Duo are a stylish violin and guitar duo playing gypsy jazz, tango and pop.

They’re a class act with plenty of experience: highlights of their career to date have included performing at a private dinner party for Prince William and Kate, playing at a reception for Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Gary Barlow, and accompanying Mojo Award-winning blues artist Seasick Steve in a performance at the Royal Albert Hall.

The band are also festival regulars, having played at Glastonbury, Reading, Bestival and Latitude.

Greatly in demand as session musicians, these talented instrumentalists have performed with John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, Mumford and Sons, Ellie Goulding and Paloma Faith. They've also appeared on prime time TV in the X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and the Royal Variety Show.

Blue Skies Duo have also played the Hammersmith Apollo and The Roundhouse in Camden; had airtime on Radio 1 and Radio 2 and have performed at countless events both in the UK and internationally and corporate clients have included Redbull and The Sunday Times, and hotels such as The Lanesborough, Landmark and Hilton.

They're equally at home playing light background music or raising the rooftops with some daredevil gypsy numbers. From Django to tango, taking in plenty of pop and jazz favourites along the way, Blue Skies Duo play with vitality and flair and offer a unique flavour for any event.

“Perfect blend of old and new in a fun, gypsy jazz style - our guests loved it! Really professional and all our family and friends thought they were fantastic. Thanks to Function Central for their assistance in booking this great band.”

Pete & Diane, Wedding in Sussex, September 2019

“Friday evening was very special for all of us but made all the more so by you and Nick, with your beautiful playing. Thank you so much for coming so far to a funny little barn to play for a group of dear old people! You were both so utterly charming, gentle and divine, you couldn't have been more wonderful. In fact we all felt that without you the atmosphere would have lacked the magic ingredient! You chose perfect pieces to play and you both looked so glamorous, and in asking for absolutely no attention for yourselves you gave everything to us, you really were just fabulous. You deserve in every way to reach the skies!”

Susie, 80th Birthday Party, Gloucestershire, April 2016

“Excellent act!! Arrived in plenty of time for the gig, contacted us beforehand to ask for our requirements and were very pleasant to all our guests and venue staff.”

Ishbel, Wedding, London August 2016

“The band were great, arriving on time, listening to our brief and playing brilliantly. They were very entertaining and our guests were very happy with their performances. They added some great style to the event.”

Jessica, Corporate event, London, December 2016

“We hired Blue Skies Duo to play during our Wedding Breakfast - we'd been to many Weddings recently and wanted something completely different to the standard pianist/harpist - Blue Skies Duo delivered a vitalising change and the crowd absolutely loved them! Everyone complimented us on having something completely different. They performed a range of songs, old & new - but all with their own spin on it. Absolutely amazing!! We even had guests get up and dance during the meal!”
