We got married at Northbrook Park, near Farnham in Surrey. We chose this venue because of it's beautiful, bright "Vine Room", which we wanted for our ceremony.

Lots of light was important to us. We also loved the fact that it was a dry hire venue and we could really add our mark on our wedding.

Our theme was very much 'English Country Garden'. We wanted lots of greenery and white foliage to give an elegant feel.

We really wanted a string quartet to add some elegance to our wedding ceremony. We also preferred live acts as it's more interactive than simply using an iPod and an aux cable!

The Clemenza String Quartet were fabulous. We found them searching for quartets in the south east and from there found Function Central's collection of bands in Surrey.

Clemenza were able to play all of our requested songs and played beautifully. They really made the ceremony and drinks reception very special!

Function Central were a dream to work with and were very accommodating when we found ourselves having to postpone our wedding due to the COVID pandemic. They were quick to answer emails and the whole process was so smooth.

First walking down the aisle to Canon in D was very special. That piece of music was one of Josh's dad's favourites so it was really special to include it in our big day.

And Party Up, a soul and funk band, were incredible – they kept our guests dancing all night!

They were so professional and kept playing even when the sound limiter turned the power off. The guests didn't even realise!

Make a wedding spreadsheet! We had one central spreadsheet with all information on it including payments that were due, timings, guest list etc...
