Fresh, exciting and unique 4-piece playing rock & pop covers from Pixie Lott, Cee Lo Green and Sam Sparro in a mellow, yet upbeat piano jazz format.
The Mustangs create a classy, slick sound that all ages will want to dance too - their music is universal, fresh and danceable and performed by fantastic young musicians based in the North West.
After starting out as a jazz and swing outfit playing at weddings, corporate events and festivals, the band increasingly found that younger audiences enjoyed the music but were not familiar with the jazz standards they were playing. They also realised that generally only the older generations actually knew how to dance to swing, and the younger audience were enjoying the music from the comfort of their chair. This had to change!
The band decided they would only play songs from the charts in the last few years so the songs would be instantly recognisable. The sound of the band would not alter; it would still have an organic jazz and blues sound but with a universal appeal and fresh, timeless grooves that everyone knew how to dance to. The merging of jazz into pop was complete!
The band are well-known and respected jazz musicians in their own right, so if you are looking for a highly-skilled band but are worried that not everyone will be familiar with jazz standards, then you've come to the right place!
