Four clarinet virtuosos, all graduates of the Royal Academy of Music, playing classical tunes from baroque to modern, jazz to pop, with a dash of Gershwin and a hint of tango.
Vibrant and talented, The Claritones are perfect for background music at weddings, receptions, garden parties and corporate events. The quartet have a unique line-up, featuring three soprano clarinets and one bass clarinet, enabling them to play a wide range of music that showcases the lyrical beauty of the instrument.
The Claritones play classical music from Bach to Bartok, jazz standards from Gershwin to Acker Bilk, and pop melodies from The Beatles to Robbie Williams, all with great virtuosity. Members of the group have played with renowned orchestras such as the London Sinfonietta, the Philharmonia, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. All four are graduates of the Royal Academy of Music.
Recently, this London-based quartet were voted into the top 50 in the Pizza Express Big Audition Competition 2011 (out of 7500 applicants) and they also work with “Live Music Now!” playing in schools and care homes.
The Claritones are professional, friendly, and always happy to arrange a favourite song for your event and give it a new twist with their unique and original sound.
